Mother’s Day event with Our Village
A very special Mother’s Day event with Our Village 🤍
I feel incredibly honoured to be able to partner with and suppoet Our Village in any way I can.
Being able to bring my community together meant so much. What started as a simple idea turned into a full tables, bringing people from all different parts of my network into one room to share something meaningful and help spread the word.
Sitting in that space and hearing the stories of the women who have been supported was powerful. It’s a reminder of the real impact this work has and how important it is that we continue to show up for one another.
I’m very aware that not everyone is blessed with their own village. As I’ve grown and found success, my mindset has shifted. I see it as both a privilege and a responsibility to help others in any way I can.
The position I’m in and the people I’ve met along the way can be incredibly powerful when used for good. And that’s something I don’t take lightly.
It also made me reflect on how grateful I am for my own village my family, my friends, and the people who have supported me through life’s harder moments. That support is something I’ll never take for granted.
I’ll be honest I actually found it quite hard to watch the video we created to share our business and the work we do. All I could think was… I’m only like this because of what my dad taught me. He always reminded me to be grateful for every opportunity and to never forget where I came from and we should always support others.
I haven’t always been successful and I think that’s what shaped me the most. For me, values will always mean more than recognition. I use to be very embarrassed sharing how much I donate and what I do to get involved but realised how powerful connection is and sharing is just bringing more awareness and with my big network I need to keep talking to spread the word.
At DTMF Group we’re proud to be part of this journey bringing more of our community together to support something bigger than ourselves.
I don’t do this for recognition. I do it to create awareness, to give back, and to use the communities I’m part of to make a difference.
The day was special, such a beautiful atmosphere, with everyone in the room coming together to celebrate and support.
Well done to everyone involved, and thank you to those who joined me and continue to support this incredible cause.
