More Than Football: Family, Friendship and Belonging

Last night was really special.

After only making it to one Richmond game this year, and finding it harder than I expected seeing Dad’s empty seat, it was really nice to be back around the club for the Jack Dyer Medal last night.
Richmond Football Club has always been such a big part of my family. So many memories, so many moments, so many conversations and so much of our time together has been connected to this club.
Being there last night, surrounded by some great people who genuinely love Richmond and are so passionate about the club, reminded me just how much it means to me and my family.
I also don’t get nearly enough time these days to spend with my friends, so being able to bring my best friend Alysha Moca along someone who loves Richmond just as much as I do made the night even more special. It was such a nice way to spend time together, have some fun and share something we both love.
It’s more than football. It’s family, friendship, memories, connection and belonging.
After the year I’ve had, I think I probably needed last night more than I realised. It felt good to be back, to enjoy the club again and to feel connected to something that has been such a big part of our family for so many years.
A really great night and congratulations to Tim Taranto on a very well-deserved Jack Dyer Medal.
